The head of Canada’s oldest yoga community, the Yasodhara Ashram in B.C.‘s Kootenay region, is coming to Vancouver this weekend to discuss her autobiography.
The book, Carried by a Promise (Timeless Books), explains the transformation of a former Alberta homemaker into Swami Radhananda, head of the large ashram, which each year welcomes thousands of seekers and yoga practitioners.

Swami Radhananda is presently in Vancouver and will be offering a reading and reflection gathering in Ladner (contact Irene Scarth) on Weds, Jan.26, at Banyen Books on Thursday, Jan 27 at 6:30 pm, at Radha on Saturday 2 – 4 pm, and there will be a workshop, Tools for Transformation at Radha on Sunday from 10 – 4 pm.
